to the 3,363,431,000 asians out there, have your parents ever wanted you, or more crudely, DEMANDED you to take up certain professions, such as doctor, lawyer, architect, engineer or businessman just because the so called career guarantees you a brighter future, and thus ensuring you won't be broke your whole life? i believe most of you, or more precisely, 90 percent of you out there share the same experience when you were at the most critical age of your life(15, 16 or 17). you are so confused of your own sex orientation. you hate yourself for being gay, lesbian or even more pathetic, bi-sexual. you hate books. and yet, you secretly harbour a dream of achieving great success in the near future. you want to be given a chance to choose your own career. BUT...your parents wouldn't let you. they say you must be a doctor, and none other than that. so what can you do about it? the most you can do is be furious, break the window, throw your books, using vulgar languages against your parents...other than that, you can do almost nothing about your dream job. if you insist, your parents might threaten to send you to lousy colleges. by that time, your future will be doomed. so, worse comes to worst, you might want to obey your parents and be a doctor. although you don't like it, at least you still have an average of $20000-per-month-income as a consolation. don't grumble. it brings you no where. don't ask why you have to go through this while your more fortunate American counterparts have the opportunity to choose their own career, cos you are an ASIAN!!!
